Andy Maurer – The Phoenix Counseling Collective

Andy Maurer creates trauma-informed spaces that promote healing, emotional awareness, and performance enhancement for pastors and entrepreneurs. He has done trainings for, and speaks to, lead pastors and entrepreneurs equipping and educating them on the issue of trauma and its impact on their work and relationships. Andy believes that as we heal from the trauma within our own stories, we will be more vulnerable, influential, and powerful change agents in the issue of trauma and abuse in the lives of those around us.

As a licensed associate marriage and family therapist in Arizona, Andy provides counseling services at The Phoenix Counseling Collective in Downtown Phoenix. As a therapist, he works primarily with couples, adults, and entrepreneurs who have experienced trauma or abuse. He also works for Mending The Soul, researching and writing on the issue of abuse and trauma, as well as speaking on the issue of abuse and rape culture. Andy was previously an assistant professor at Arizona Christian University, where he taught courses on marriage, family, sport psychology, and biblical studies. He earned both a Master of Divinity in Professional Counseling from Phoenix Seminary and a Masters in Marital Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary.

When not working, Andy enjoys seeing movies, reading books, drinking coffee with good friends, and dreaming about business endeavors with his wife, Charity, a wedding photographer and entrepreneur. Andy and Charity have two adventurous boys, Achilles and Cyrus.
