Our Mission

The vision for Sold No More began more than 30 years ago when our Founder and Director, Jerry Peyton, experienced the devastation of sex trafficking in his own family. In order to address the growing problem of trafficking in our community, Sold No More was launched in 2010. Jerry’s daughter, Lisa Hansen, is now our Education Director, providing prevention education to 8,000 middle and high school students each year. Working with governmental agencies, local churches, like-minded organizations and individuals, our mission is to abolish sex trafficking in southern Arizona and beyond.

Awareness

We engage local communities by educating them about the reality of the sexual exploitation of their children.  Until we believe it is happening in our backyards and come together as a community committed to ending this epidemic, it will continue to expand.

Without public sentiment, nothing can be accomplished.  With it, we can do anything. – Abraham Lincoln

Prevention

We combat exploitation through the education, using our Power Over Predators curriculum.  Children and youth have become predators’ primary targets, only our kids don’t know it.  We equip youth how to identify and protect themselves and others from predators.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. – Nelson Mandela

Training

We train professionals how to identify and respond to victims of sexual exploitation.  Those who work with youth are on the front lines of this battle:  healthcare and mental health providers, educators, social service providers, youth home staff, and faith community youth workers.

88% of sex trafficking victims go to a healthcare provider, aren’t identified, and go back to the abuse.  – Annals of Health
